🚨 Après Club Is Back
For the tennis lvrs. And no, it’s not just for the girls.
In Issue No. 5, I wrote about “third places” — those not-home, not-work, in-between spots that make a city feel alive and build community.
Enter: Après Club. Built by Jeanine Froggatt. And setting the tone for Vancouver’s next wave of culture-meets-wellness. A deep dive of the business model is for another day. For now, I encourage you to consider signing up for lessons with me!
Après is a modern-day country club — it’s for people who play tennis (for now) and care about aesthetics. Who want to move, connect, and maybe linger over a spritz on the terrace after.
A few things I love:
The vibe is consistent. Black-and-white dress code, beautifully considered locations, 10/10 energy.
It’s intentionally small. The boutique model keeps things tight — every person there feels like they are apart of something.
It doesn’t try to be everything. It’s sport, it’s social, it has a little edge. And that’s enough. There’s something a bit Princess Diana off-duty about it all — country club as cool girl.
Jeanine has created a third place that feels fresh, aspirational, and just bold enough in its restraint. Also, good news, if you are a brand with branding as intentional as Après, Jeanine is open to partnerships so get in touch.
Don’t forget your racquet + see you on the court. Book lessons here.
